Textiles Development - Sketch & Stitch

It is important for students to learn the basics of design before making their project, which can include machine & hand embroidery with appliqué. A rushed, drawn sketch is not design development. Development starts with a subject, drawings, and sketches of motifs within this subject. The process can be as short as 20 minutes, but it helps identify texture, pattern, shape, and shading, and gives you the creative tool to produce a piece of artwork you can proudly display and share with others.
