This is a project I undertook in March 2024. I found a newspaper article from The Aberdeen Journal dated Wednesday, September 24th 1902. Sir George Bannerman had lived most of his life in Brackley, Northamptonshire and is buried in St. Peter's Churchyard, Brackley. The newspaper article wrote about the design and instalment of a Celtic Cross on his and his families grave. Below you can see the development of samples through photographs, words & knitting. In my sample, I used 4ply 100% Shetland Wool, to recognise the Scottish granite used in the Celtic Cross.
